ABOUT CHARLOTTE MANNING PHOTOGRAPHY LLC
No, but I love getting to know my clients before their session!! Typically, it is easier to photograph someone who I have met previously because they are more comfortable in front of the camera. If meeting is not possible (possibly due to schedule conflicts or traveling), I am available via Skype or FaceTime and can do all the paperwork via email! CMP works hard at keeping most paperwork digital and green.
What types of payment do you accept?
Cash, check, money order, and credit card payments via PayPal. PayPal transactions do require a transaction fee of 4% of balance.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, with any session, I require a non-refundable retainer and signed agreement. Retainer amounts vary depending on session type but typically require 40% down. Dates are held for 1 week after initial inquiry without deposit.
When do you require the balance due?
For portrait sessions, session balance is due at time of session. For weddings, the balance is due 7 days before your wedding date. Payment plans are available at no additional charge.
How long have you been doing this and what are your credentials?
I have been in business since 2012. I have degrees in both Photographic Technology and Business Management. I am trained in natural light, flash photography, portrait, event and composite photography (think, T-Rex wedding photo haha), retouching and even film photography!
How long does it take to receive photos?
Depending on type of session (wedding or portrait) time frame ranges from 1-6 weeks. If photos will take longer than expected, I will notify you within that time to let you know of a delay. CMP limits work per month, as to keep up with work flow appropriately, so any delays are limited to extreme circumstances only. You would receive an email notification when your photos have been placed onto the online gallery for viewing. You would also receive a custom URL and password to share with family and friends.
Do you offer USB and print releases?
Yes, USB of choice photographs will be available after print orders have been placed. Specific print order requirements will be listed on contract as well as lifestyle and wedding collection brochures.
What To Expect...
If you are looking for a wedding collection: it is imperative to discuss with your partner about the kind of photographs you are looking for. My personal style is romantic, rustic, traditional, candid. I personally enjoy capturing the "candid, in-between moments" more than anything else. However, I understand the importance of capturing traditional portraits with family and other loved ones, so there will be time set aside just for these photos. When it comes to lighting, natural light is best, but I am college-trained on how to utilize lighting equipment for special lighting circumstances, or just to add an artistic touch. Expect all of my images to be timeless, creative and have special attention to detail. Please go to my wedding portfolio here to see a more elaborate collection of my work and to view basic pricing.
If you are looking for a lifestyle, senior, or business headshot session: my creative ability enables me to discover and capture your truest self (my fun and energetic personality helps too!) We will talk and have fun which will result in a session that is one of a kind- just like you! The feel or look of portrait sessions varies based on individual wants and needs- whether it be traditional, artistic, individual or family- you give me the basis of what you want to gain from a session and I will make it happen. I spend a lot of time planning a session based on client input, and enjoy coming up with fun and unique spins to each session. As far as location, think about the place that makes you feel most content and happy- and that's where we will meet. My most favorite location for your session is your home; there is nothing better than capturing your family within your own unique atmosphere. I have a a few favorite parks or a home location you can also use if you do not want a session in your home. Please continue on to my portrait gallery here to take a look at a more extensive portfolio of my work.
I am a mom of four and have been married for ten years to my high school sweetheart. I'm a hopeless romantic, goofy, genuine but sarcastic and creative type-A perfectionist (is that possible?!) All four of our children are named after cities, and no, we haven't been to any of them! But, we hope to!
Photography has always been a passion of mine, and I am so thankful to be able to share that love with my clients. I have had the opportunity of being taught by some of the best college professors in the Midwest and graduated in 2013 with a degree in Photographic Technology. I learned a lot about how a camera works and how to use natural light, lighting equipment and even learned how to create composite photos. My education experience not only allowed me to learn many different techniques in photography --old and new-- but also allowed me to grow and form friendships with many other local photographers and even a couple graphic designers! I am a perfectionist when it comes to the technical aspect of photography. Understanding how my camera works in certain situations allows me to focus on capturing my favorite candid moments with ease. Whispers and giggles, dancing and twirling, stolen kisses and belly laughs...those are my moments!
I love to learn and live by the belief that everyone you meet has something to offer...something that is unique to them. We all have fears, goals, and things that make us happy-- and I love to emphasize all that makes a person who they are in my photographs.
I don't specialize in traditional portraiture
I specialize in archiving stories and souls
capturing memories & creating photographs
that will last you generations
I love being a photographer because I have the ability to take a moment and preserve it forever. You often forget moments throughout your life, and I feel it is my job as a photographer to capture those moments and make them a piece of your life that you can revisit whenever you wish.
Since I will learn about you when you book with me, here's a list of some of my favorite things...I'm sure we have something in common!
-my family (my husband Jerry and our four kids)
-hot sauce (yes, I put that sh*t on everything)
-pizza (jalapenos and mild peppers, please!!)
-coffee (the triple bourbon latte from Milan Coffee works is my FAVORITE!)
-Local Craft Breweries (my husband and I often host our own flight nights... favorites currently are brews from Vivant Brewery and New Holland Brewery)
-Kit-Kats (who am I kidding, I love all candy)
....hmm.... I swear, I'm not obsessed with food. ha.
-US Navy Blue Angels (or any aircraft!! I would be a pilot hands down if I weren't busy being a photographer..although my favorite airplane is a P-51 Mustang)
-channeling my inner pinterest sister with a side of Joanna Gaines by journaling, painting and designing my home, and building with wood (carpentry?? My husband actually built our own kitchen table, kitchen island, AND queen bed!)
-running or any general exercise outside, I love the sunshine! (do gardening and working outside count as outside exercise?)
Ok...ok... enough about the things that make me happy....let's chat and capture you and all that you love!
