I had an awesome time photographing this wedding last September in Milan, Michigan. Early in the morning, I went for a run through Milan and once I was on the opposite side of town-- the clouds got really dark and I had to call my husband to come save me from the thunderstorm! Oops! As the morning went on, I was nervous the weather wouldn't be too great...but just as it became time to get started on the wedding coverage, the sun came out and stayed out the entire day! This wedding and reception was held at the Milan Senior and Community Activity Center in Milan Michigan. I really enjoyed this venue and the park that was outside. The lighting was amazing inside thanks to a wall of glass doors; the brick exterior outside added a nice backdrop for group photos.
This couple and even their entire family were a blast to photograph!! You could feel the love and support for the couple throughout the venue and my wish for them is that it continues for many years. The bride looked amazing and she was incredibly sweet. I was excited to have captured some special moments with her children before the ceremony, and then some sweet shots of her and her groom in the park after the ceremony. One of my favorite parts of the night was when the bridal party surrounded the couple, candles in hand, for a dance. That photo made it into my favorites below.
I posted my favorite photos from the day below-- I hope you enjoy!!
You can see the bride's review of my work here. #19 is her entry.
